Route Feedback: Crash,Bang,Wallowbarrow!
Posted by: Tony Thompson, 10.10.2021 I was disappointed to read the meagre description of Crash,Bang,Wallowbarrow!(not Wallop) in the new guide, especially as I had posted the original route details (24.10.20) in response to Scott Quinn’s claim for almost the same line(Earl of Groan). Al Phizacklea asked ‘is this independent from Crash,Bang?(24.9.20), my answer was no. Been to the crag today for a look. Earl is a variation start to Crash, climbing the lower wall 2/3m right of Crash. The two lines merge at the flakes atop the pinnacle abutting the steep wall above. From this point Earl follows Crash up right to the top.

We can only apologise for the description in the guide. I tried to contact you, but failed, so I got in touch with Mark. Edwards. The description in the guide is from him, but he couldn’t recall much, and obviously not even the name. Maybe it will be corrected in the archived section on line in about 25 years time!
