There has been a substantial rock fall at Helm Crag Easdale. Several tons of rock have now joined their friends on the scree below. The routes of Bentley and Photon have been seriously effected and are currently in a dangerous state.
The National Trust has closed its car park at The Old Dungeon Ghyll for the duration of the current period of Lockdown. The large Stickle Ghyll car park, adjacent to The Stickle Barn, will remain open as will its toilets. Details will be updated if there are any changes.

It has been confirmed that Peregrines are nesting on the Upper Crag. A restriction to 30 June has been implemented for this buttress, the Lower Crag is not affected by this restriction.
A report has been received that Ravens are nesting close to Sadgill Wall, and they have been feeding young. On a later site visit a nest site couldn’t be identified so the young have probably fledged. Please report any sightings of nesting raven (or peregrine) to this website and access@thebmc.co.uk.
The restriction of this crag has been lifted as the birds are not breeding at this site.
