This compact semi quarried crag provides some quality climbing and is only 5mins. from the nearest beer in the Poets Bar. Access as for Helm Crag. Parking is available for a small fee at the Lancrigg Hotel car park (redeemable at the bar for post climbing beers or coffee). After passing in front of the hotel follow the poet’s footpath through the woodland, on exiting the arbouretum through a small wooden gate turn immediately right, strike up the hill and follow the drystone wall rightwards for 60 meters the crag will appear on your left. Routes described from left to right. The central routes can be extended via the lower 8m slab VD / S. Descent easily down either side of the crag, less steep on the right which also avoids any disturbance to the rather fine badger sett.
