Outdoor First Aid Course – Beetham Cottage 8th / 9th June 2024

Following the success of last year’s first aid course we are offering it again. This will be a 16 hour course focusing on first aid in outdoor environments and which is particularly relevant to the activities we take part in; the certificate is recognised by a number of sport governing bodies, including MLT, so will be suitable for those of us holding, or working towards, outdoor instruction or coaching qualifications. If anyone would be interested in covering the additional syllabus areas required for First Aid at Work (Hut Wardens?), please let me know as soon as possible as there may be the opportunity to do this depending upon the demand. As with last year, the training will be provided by Lloyd Langford Expedition Training.

The cost of the course will be £120 per person, which includes a certificate following completion; accommodation is not included, and usual hut fees will apply. This is quite competitive when compared to other commercially available courses. If there is sufficient interest, I will organise a communal meal for the Saturday evening.

The number of available places on the course is limited to 12 and I have already received several enquiries, so early booking is advised.
