Posted by: mandy glanvill, 10.02.202110.02.2021, Mandy Glanvill, Julie Carter Situated on the crags on the eastern flank of Lonscale Fell overlooking Glenderaterra Beck. Start at OS ref NY 2926 2664. Climbs the first stream that crosses the main path around east side of Lonscale Fell. Water ice steps, ideal for beginners, mostly grade 1 but with steps up to 5m of grade 2. The crux can be seen from the start, entering a small cutting. When the ice runs out either return to start via hillside, or continue up to the ridge and follow the main Skiddaw path back to the Latrigg car park.
