The conclusion of extensive tree felling both above and below Long Crag GR232983 has revealed an even more open aspect to this fine little crag.
The crag top trees that in the past provided a convenient belay and rappel station are no more, however two sturdy stumps remain giving excellent replacement anchors. The substantial spruce tree that stood below the routes Resonating Ramp and Long Shot has been reduced to a low stump and as a consequence has revealed a good direct start to the ramp. Resonating Ramp no longer resonates as the hollow flake has detached and is at rest on the brash below the crag. (no change to the grade) All routes are sound, clean and worthwhile.
