This route has really p****d me off.
This is my route Eraser Head finishing up Route of All Evil (about 3 moves at the top) Eraser Head climbs from the groove at the start of Route of All Evil until it meets it at its traverse on the SECOND break. Then you can finish up Route of All Evil or True path…just as Mid Air Collision (which joins TROAE at the first break) can finish from the second break of TROAE, up Flight Path or True Path.
IN MY OPINION NEITHER MY OR ANDY HYSLOP’S ROUTE SHOULD BE RE NAMED AND RE SUBMITTED AS OTHER ROUTES BECAUSE SOMEONE WANTS TO CLAIM A NEW LINE AND WRITE IT UP IN UKC OR FOR WHATEVER REASON IT WAS They should be recorded as they were with the optional finishes.
Mid Air Collision – Flight Path 7b/ True Path 7b+, and Eraser Head TROAE 7b / True Path 7b + for example. They were climbed as direct bolted lines, and they had a lot of original climbing in them, to give access to the upper wall finishes when the other routes were sparsely bolted and weaved about a lot. I bolted both of them. I bolted TROAE but only placed the bolts where the original fixed gear was, making it still a quite run out route. Furthermore, TROAE Direct has a description that suggests that it is to the left of Eraser Head….very confusing. Record these as they should be please, without re naming them. The whole section for Great Wall seems to have been rushed and has many errors. The topo is very poor.
