The Fell and Rock Remembrance Round is an epic journey through the heart of the Lake District. Covering at least 37kms with 2,900m of ascent you’ll visit the 12 summits and a lakeland valley.

To complete the Fell and Rock Remembrance Round visit, in a continuous journey, the summits of the 12 peaks and the Memorial Bridge, starting and finishing at the club’s hut, The Salving House, in Rosthwaite Borrowdale.

Depending on route choice the round is approximately 37km, 2,900m ascent

Rules of the Fell and Rock Remembrance Round

1. Start and finish at the barrier of the Salving House. The nearest car parking is the National Trust car park in Grange or the Scafell Hotel public car park.
2. Use public footpaths unless you are on open access land.
3. Visit, in any order you wish, the summits of Glaramara, Allen Crags, Seathwaite Fell, Great End, Broad Crag, Lingmell, Green Gable, Great Gable, Kirk Fell, Brandreth, Grey Knotts, Base Brown and the Ennerdale memorial bridge.
4. Record your route on a tracking app eg Strava.
5. Be AdventureSmart  The round is not suitable for novice hill-goers; ensure you are properly equipped for the day, have adequate food and equipment, are fit enough to undertake the challenge and leave a route plan with a friend/ relative.
6. The Fell and Rock Remembrance Round must be completed in a single journey, you can however take as long as you like.
7. Have fun; but take a moment or two to reflect on the sacrifice that our fellow mountaineers made which ultimately has led to the freedoms of life and freedoms of access that we have today.
8. Register your round to be added to the finisher board by messaging membership@frcc.co.uk with your name, age, date of the round, a screenshot of your tracking app and a brief description of your day. Photos of your round also welcomed. Additionally you can add your photos and stories on the Fell and Rock Remembrance Round Facebook Group.
